Harshit is a 22 years old cluster coordinator of SIDART. He did his Bachelor in science from Raj Noble College and has completed his masters in science from SBT government college, Dungapur. He lives in Gegi village of Dungapur with his parents. He got associated with SIDART in July 2018. Earlier he was working as a field coordinator with Nehru Yuva affiliated to Yuva Mandal. After completion of the respective project he was uncovering opportunities for work and that’s when his friend informed him about a vacancy available at SIDART.

During the house visits, certain protocols are followed

• Introduction of themselves and SIDART to the person.

• Observe the wellbeing and cleanliness of the pregnant, lactation mother and the infant. Their individual Mamta cards are checked in which their weight, haemoglobin and points of interest of inoculation are confirmed.

• Nutritional abstain from food admission is asked in which the material of the sustenance, cleanliness and prosperity of the child is observed. – Inquiry and instruction about the significance of immunization is done.

• Family individuals are inculcated towards taking care of the mother and the infant.

Harshit along with the team visits Angarwari of various Grampanchayats to collect data of the registered pregnant and lactating women and children in the age group of 0-3 years. The task is advanced by house visits of the registered women. Frequently he comes across families and woman who have not yet been registered whom he puts across the Angarwadi. Weight of the pregnant, lactating woman and children up to the age of 3 years are recorded. Proper record of their dietary plan and daily routine is framed. Education and motivation is done of the individuals and care givers for a healthy and hygienic lifestyle. To make them understand the importance of hygiene, various exercises are performed.

After working in Anganwadi I saw the adverse struggle and difficulties people have to survive through. By understanding and facilitating to their needs has resulted in considerable change in the lives of the motivated
